Google and MasterCard prepare a solution for mobile payments

Google could make earlier a mobile payment system wirelessly. Available first in the USA, it would be developed in collaboration with MasterCard and Citibank. Communication Technology NFC integrated on the American version of Nexus S is not sufficient to adopt the principle of contactless payment. This is why Google would announce tomorrow a banking system to do so in accordance with MasterCard and Citibank. According to The New York Times, there are more than 124000 businesses that have contactless payment terminals.

Partnerships would also conclude with major retailers like Macy's, American Eagle Outfitters and Subway. In their stores in New York and San Francisco, customers could benefit from discounts and participate in a loyalty program. Now that Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and his last phone support the use of NFC, it makes sense that Google now offers its own payment solution.
