LG announces first Ultrabook, the Xnote Z330. For this first foray, the Korean manufacturer does not take the risk and provides a machine (too?) Resemblance to Apple's MacBook.
Aluminum hull, separate keypad, large touchpad, but also an outline of black screen that is reminiscent of the MacBook Pro. This same screen displays give an area of 13 inches for a definition of 1366 x 768 pixels. Side measurements, better than the LG Ultrabook already on the market. We had been admiring of 1.35 kg and 17 mm thickness of the Acer Aspire S3. When it is discovered that LG has managed to compress a 13-inch computer in 1.2 kg and a shell of 14 mm thick, one can appreciate.
The Korean brand has not neglected the material part of the Z330. To animate it, the buyer has the choice of a model-based Core i7 or Core i5. To this is added 4 GB of RAM and an SSD for storage (128 or 256 GB). The graphics card, in turn, is integrated. Like the Aspire Zenbook S3 or Asus, Intel is an HD3000, which can even play as long as it is not too greedy in inflicting the latest blockbusters like Battlefield 3 or Skyrim.
LG said that the boot takes less than 10 seconds. He respects the prerogative and Intel. In its connectivity, the Widi stands out. With this standard, it is possible to display an image of the wireless Xnote on an external display.
Announced in Korea, the Z330 will be sold at 1500 euros. No date has been advanced European commercialization.
