Nikon D800: an SLR 36 Megapixel Full Frame


Whereas, unveiled last few days already by some sites, the latest addition to Nikon was formalized by the Japanese automaker. The D800 SLR is aimed at professionals, which contains many strengths of D4, announced a few weeks ago. 

On the menu, we find an impressive CMOS sensor, since it will offer 36 megapixels, nearly double its predecessor, the D700 (16 megapixels), which dates from 2008.


USB 3.0 and HDMI uncompressed

AF side, it displays 51 collimators for tracking of face optical sight. The D800 also benefits from the new chip Nikon EXPEED 3, capable of outputting 7360 x 4919 files of pixels at a rate of 4 frames per second. Logically, the video is also featured with full HD at 24p, 25p or 30p cadence.
€ 2,899 from March 22

 The connector is not better, as the new jewel of Japanese maker offers two ports memory card (CF or SD Card), an HDMI (uncompressed) and a USB 3.0 port. Finally the weight is lowered, since going to 900 or 100 grams less than the D700. Nikon D800 will sell the 2899 euros as of March 22.
