HTC U12 with Dual Rear Cameras Expected in April

Leaks suggest HTC U12 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset

Finally the time of the year has come for HTC to launch the next iteration of its flagship U series. As the trend suggests the new HTC U12 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon chipset 845 and it will become the second new flagship of this year after Samsung’s S9 to feature this chipset. There is no doubt that HTC will stick to its exiting nomenclature for the flagship as HTC U12 as last year’s version was HTC U11. This device was shown just a month ago in a 5G industry event. The leaks regarding the HTC U12 has come from a reliable leakster and ROM developer called LlabTooFeR.

Features to be seen in HTC U12

HTC U12 will feature a Quad HD+ display screen with 5.9 inches in the popular 18:9 aspect ratio. 18:9 aspect ratio has become the stand feature of all the flagship which are likely to be launched in 2018 thereby leading to the sad demise of 16:9 in the flagship market. It will sport the Snapdragon 845 processor along with the 6 GB RAM and an astonishing massive storage of 256 GB. It is likely that HTC will be launching some other variants of this HTC U12 with low RAM and storage as well as screen in upcoming days.

Building the perfect flagship

It will certainly boast of the dual camera setup at the back which had become a norm. Herein it has a 12 MP sensor along with a 16MP Sony IMX3xx sensor at the back while for selfie it has an 8MP shooter. To be a complete flagship it has to offer a reliable battery life therefore HTC 12 boasts of a commendable 3420 mAh and it does also possess IP68 rating. HTC12 users will not have to worry about the accidental drops in water as this device now comes with dust and waster resistance capability.

HTC 12 comes with Android Oreo along with the company’s very own Android skin called Sense UI 10. HTC iconic Edge sense 2.0 is also present here which allows users to perform various simple tasks based on the pressure given while gripping the phone. Following the Footsteps of Apple and varied other Android manufacturers HTC 12 will also be boasting its very Face Unlock capability. HTC is expected to launch this device in both single and dual sim versions globally.

Launching soon in April 2018

This leakster has revealed the complete specsheet on the twitter and had confirmed the launch of the device in April. Having a look at the specsheet it can be easily seen that HTC is playing safe with HTC U12 by offering the all the requisite features which has become staple in the last year. The presence of dual camera setup along with 18:9 aspect ratio is a welcome addition. The massive internal storage of 256 GB is simply too much for any user. If HTC wishes to remain competitive and get better sales traction then it has to be place the HTC U12 more competitively than past years.

HTC One M10

HTC’s Flagship Smartphone – HTC 10

HTC has begun sending media invitation for an event to be held on April 12 wherein the company is widely expected to expose its next flagship smartphone which is believed to be known as HTC 10. The announcement of the Taiwanese company informed that it would have simultaneous events in New York, London as well as Taipei.

The invitation moreover confirms that the launch event would be live streamed on April 12, on the company’s website. The company has requested users to log on to its website on April 12, 8 am New York Times, 1 pm London time and 8 pm Taipei time. The website also mentions that they admit it, they are obsessed … but in a good way’ and tends to have a hastag `#powerof10’.

The company will be unveiling the `power of 10 and in this case, 10 will be playing into the phone’s name which follows 2015’s HTC One M9 and M8 as well as the original HTC One. The announcement tends to come about a month late this year if one has been following the pattern of HTC for unveiling its headliner phone at the Mobile World Congress show in late February.

New Phone with Home Button/Edges

This delay to the phone watchers has been a sign of the struggle of HTC in stopping the bleed after years of steep market share drop-off together with poor sales. Some of the details of the HTC 10 revealed with a render published earlier in the month portrayed a new phone with a home button together with big edges.

The HTC 10 is said to have a 5.15-inch display together with Snapdragon 820 processor and would sit among the top-tier of Android phone. But the question propped up to HTC is what will make the 10 stand out from home runs like the Galaxy S7 Edge.

HTC has mentioned that it would be introducing its phone at the time of the online event and there would not be an in person component, though it may sound like anyone who would be interested, will be capable of tuning in. The announcement would be streamed at 8 am ET on their website. Besides a 5.15-inch Super LCD 5 display with QHD resolution, the handset would also be packed with a 3000mAh battery which if true would be the largest battery in HTC’s flagship in the HTC phones till date.

Smartphone – Compelling Camera Experience

Some other specifications rumoured regarding the HTC 10 state an Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, a 12 megapixel rear camera and a USB Type-C port besides a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Some of the images leaked regarding the unannounced handset recommend that it would sport metal build with broad chamfered edges and a physical home button below the display together with two capacitive buttons.

In an attempt to develop around its forthcoming flagship, HTC has claimed that HTC 10 will sport `World First, World Class’ front and back cameras. Chialin Chang, HTC CFO, had stated that the smartphone is expected to have a very compelling camera experience. According to the rumours, the HTC 10 is said to come in four colours of black and white, white, gold and black.

HTC Vive Launches This Year, but the Bulk will be Released in 2016

HTC_Vive

HTC has announced its plans to provide a limited release of its much-waited virtual reality headset named Vive this year. HTC will be launching its devices in limited quantity later this year followed by a large-scale massive launch in the first half of 2016. It has kept both the dates of launches under wrap for the time being but the virtual reality segment is already buzzing with this promising announcement. HTC Vive headset provides much freedom of movement to the users by allowing them to walk freely which helps in adding extra depth to the wholesome gaming experience. On the other hand, the available virtual reality sets just let the users move them within a restricted space.

How virtual reality headsets work?

Virtual reality headsets are basically worn by the users on their eyes and headsets happens to provide one a kind full 3D virtual environment to the gamers to explore. In order to enhance the gaming experience an additional connected controller is provided. Virtual reality sphere is mainly used for gaming sector and virtual devices are gradually increasing their support for several popular titles.

Market analysts are predicting that the virtual reality can even make foray in the film industry with time and popularity. In the recent times, few filmmakers had utilized this technology to understand its potential in the entertainment industry.

HTC gives a major preference to Vibe

HTC is a trusted name in the field of Smartphones but over the years, it has received serious competition from the Smartphone majors- Apple and Samsung. HTC had made its foray in the virtual reality sector in order to give a boot to its business operations. Earlier HTC had developed a remarkable Steam online gaming platform in collaboration with Valve. Now it is relying on its partner to launch the virtual reality device called Vive on full scale in first quarter of 2016.

HTC to get stiff competition in 2016

HTC’s Vive will get some stiff competition from other upcoming virtual devices namely Facebook’s Occult Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus, which are expected to be launched in 2016. Therefore it is quite unclear why HTC decided to go for only a limited in 2015 rather than going with wider launch in 2015 and getting a huge share of virtual reality market. HTC must be trying to get few people used to its Vive then build a demand for this remarkable when it opens up for wider scale launch in first half of 2016. With all these marvelous projections, expectations and launches 2016 certainly will be a decisive year for the virtual reality devices.

Future prospects of HTC Vive

HTC understands the importance of 2016 when a large number of virtual reality devices will be rolling out to appease the customers and it is hoping to grab a bigger pie of the market by building a demand with limited launch this year. The head of marketing executive for HTC Jeff Gattis had predicted selling of virtual devices anywhere between 2-3 million next year.

Crazy about selfies? HTC Gives you a Grand Opportunity

HTC Desire Eye
The Taiwanese company HTC has now given a thought to the camera of the smartphones they are producing as because they are well aware of the craze in selfies among the public. And if you are one among them, then it is good news for you too. The Taiwanese company is trying to build the camera in a way that the pictures come out clearer almost in an HD form so that you are quite satisfied with the results. For that reason, the companies are trying to inculcate the following features in the cameras of the Smartphones.

Features that HTC is trying to fit in

  • The HTC Desire Eye has managed to bring a 13mega pixel camera and a dual LED flash above the screen where the phone’s speaker is placed. This will give the extra advantage of increased clarity so that the customers are totally satisfied with the picture quality that they are getting. It is one of the highest resolution front facing camera that has been launched so far.
  • HTC wants to cover the differences between the front facing and the rear-facing camera so that the selfies are as clear and good as the normal other pictures are. And since people are more fond of selfies, this feature will indeed turn out to be one of the most popular of the lot.
  • HTC has beaten others in the field as to where camera is concerned. With a front camera with strong resolution, it has almost made a great leap in the arena of technology.
  •  This camera is fully complete with auto focus and 1080p video recording too which means that if you have a party going on at your background, you can record the whole of it without having to exclude yourself from the scene which is a pretty interesting fact as well.
  •  The dual LED flash is the one, which is responsible for the clarity of the picture. So even if you are in a dark zone, you can always get your picture clear. And yes, the flash has been designed so that the picture appears as if taken from a normal light mode so that the picture does not carry a ghostly white appearance of you, or you do not look pale in it.
  • The Desire Eye has truly been a smart move for all the selfie lovers and those who are not that much addictive to them will soon be obsessed with selfies if they get hold of this gadget just for once. Now it is just a matter of time to see whether the customers are really happy with this new move or not.
  • Desire Eye is giving all these features at much cheaper rates than other smartphones. Though these specifications sound costly, yet they are not so. At least not when HTC is the launching company. Not only the price, but also the quality of the specifications is what makes this phone unique.

RE- a New Type of Camera from HTC

RE-Camera from HTC
It is not surprising if HTC is to be considered as a camera company. After the successful launching of One M8 and then Desire 816 phones that are regarded by many users as the most excellent Smartphone cameras, this company has now declared a small sized handheld camera named as the RE that contains a 16MP CMOS sensor as well as a latest HTC Desire EYE Smartphone with about 13MP front and back cameras.

The RE is, in fact, new product type for HTC with a little camera looking like smoking pipe. It has the capability to capture Full HD videos (1080p) with somewhat slow motion. This camera will possess146 degree of wide-angle lens and can be compared with the GoPro Hero 4 that has recently gain popularity in the market. The camera has also a distant viewfinder app in order thatthe user can manage it from a smart mechanism.

The design of the whole device-

The RE- a small, light weight device, has the size of 96.7 x 26.5mm and the weight of 65.5 grams. It makes it easy to firmly manage it one-handed. It is so small that the user can put it within his pocket or wallet and can take photographs or video footage at any moment whenever he wishes. Practically, the camera will be completely perfect for many types of situations. It takes images of 16MP, video of 1080p/30fps, and also time-lapse recording etc.

There are just two buttons on the device. There is one shutter button on the outer part that you press one time to take a photo and long-press for some seconds to record videotape, and the slow-motion capture toggle, which you have to press to activate before beginning the video. In case of power button it should be mentioned that HTC desires the camera to be always-on, and therefore, always prepared and waiting for you to utilize it. Sensors implanted inside the RE can inform when you grip it, so theoretically it should not take pictures while it is buried bottomless inside your pants.

You will also get a mic on top, in addition to an LED pointer and speaker under the slow-mo button. The microSD slot is placed on the bottom beneath a watertight label; the RE has an 8GB card that is preinstalled; however, you can replace it with any card with maximum 128GB. There is moreover a micro-USB charging and a quarter inch support built for a wide range of accessories. In the matter of connections, this product- RE utilizes Bluetooth LE to originally pair with your headset, but the remaining part of the process is assisted by Wi-Fi Direct -- transporting files, the distant shutter and the whole thing.

Facilities for launching the camera-

HTC selects RE for a number of motives: Primarily, through this Camera and other products, the company desires to dissociate the device so it is not linked with HTC phones, particularly since the app will be cross-platform.This company also thinks that the RE name is related with a few of the camera's qualities.

HTC Nexus 9 Tablet to prove as a Tough Competitor

HTC Nexus 9 Tablet
While the Chinese Telecomm companies are making intense rapid progress by designing their smartphones with meticulous features which are available in the market at an extremely affordable price, it has become a challenge for telecomm companies Samsung, HTC to remain in the competition. To keep in pace with the competition, HTC reports revealed that they are going to launch Google Nexus 9 tablet powered by Tegra K1 64-bit processor in the third quarter of 2014. This has ushered frenzy among the mobile manufacturers who are looking forward for the launch of the device.

Reason for making such a comeback:

HTC took the challenge to develop such a device mainly because to gain worldwide acclamation as a leading smartphones manufacturers. In 2012, HTC manufactured HTC Flyer, which failed to dominate the market and attract audience’s attention. So they’ve high hopes for unveiling Nexus 9 tablet. Previously, HTC rejected Google’s offer for collaboration to manufacture tablets because they claimed to have been busy in promoting their smartphone business globally, which later did not reward much fruitful success.

However, rumors states that Nexus 9 will not be available in US, owing to the ill-fated failure of the previous tablet HTC Flyer in 2012. The Wall Street Journal claims that HTC is working collaboratively with Googleplex in Mountain View upon Nexus 9, which will be soon unveiled to the citizens.

Leaked News about the Specification of the Tablet:

There might be several rumors about the Nexus 9, but certain features have been confirmed to be present in the device. One of the speculative killer features that have been incorporated in the device is the 64-bit NVIDIATegra K1 Denver processor, which has been predicted to be highly superior to the Snapdrgaon processor present in the existing android devices.

In addition to that, sources reveal that the device will run on 3GB RAM, contrary to 4GB RAM which exists in most of the devices. In addition, the device is assumed to sport an8.9 inch AMOLED display, with a 2048x1440 pixel density with 241ppi. The device will have aluminum rear with a thickness of .31mm and will weigh 418gm. The aluminum rear is assumed to provide a better protection for the device from shocks and slight scratches. In addition, the device will sport with 8MP rear camera and 3MP front facing camera. Unfortunately, there has been no news about the presence of LED flash. The tablet will be powered by 4900mAh lithium battery, and will run on the latest Android 5.0 L (Lollipop, Lemon Cheesecake) which will enhance its performance. The device will be available in 16GB and 32GB variant without any external expansion slot.

The price has been expected to be around $399  and $499 respectively while the LTE version is expected to cost around $600.

Conclusion:

Android technology has skyrocketed in the recent years and has been running a wide array of devices ever since it is advent in the market. With its breathe taking features, market analysts envisage HTC’s comeback in the smartphone market in the distant future.

Android Smartphone

HTC seems to continue to focus on large screens for its Smart phones. Thus, the Taiwanese manufacturer prepares a device running Android has a 4.5 inch screen. Remember, the current Samsung and HTC Galaxy S2 Sensation has a screen of 4.3 inch.
