4D Printing

4D Printing
4D printing, the printing of the future ? Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created with the help of 3D printing three-dimensional objects that can change their shape according to predetermined specifications. 3D printers have become much more than just a quick hype. As an integral part of productions in IT, medicine, space and decor; printing technology offers a wide range of design options.

The researcher Skylar Tibbits wants to use this by the architect, designers and computer scientists, however, much further. With its own research team, he sat down at the big project “4D printing" and produced using 3D printers objects that take on a new shape, when they are placed in water. The prototypes of the computer scientist work on the basis DIY principle of individual molecules (Molecular self-assembly technology).

4D Printing
Objects are first collected by means of 3D printing of various materials, among which some change in certain environments or influences in their form. In the example of the MIT scientist, it is done with process in the water. The water is responsible for the deformation of two different polymers. Consisting of individual molecular chains of the polymers being doubled its volume and thus provides for some time for the new shape of the object.

However, water alone does not appear to be possible in this case as the only source for shape shifting. Skylar Tibbits looks for 4D - printing still much more potential with heat, sound or lasers. Even the current applications are still far not the end of possibilities - whether under water or in space. US Defense is together with the software company Autodesk computer scientist currently working on the development of other prototypes.

He presented preliminary results at the TED conference in Monterey, California. Received was very positive, the project 4D printing and the Research Office of the U.S. Army. This in turn invested 855,000 dollars in further research and hopes for the future, and already first adaptive textiles and vehicles according to the uniforms with camouflage pattern. Even more curious creations from the 3D printer can be found soon.

Revolutionary Technology: A denture cleans all of your teeth in six seconds!

Blizzident society
Since the invention of the electric toothbrush, it does not necessarily have noticed that technology has advanced a lot in this area! With 3D printing technology, a company has developed a brush you can clean the tooth enamel in only 6 seconds! A revolution in the world of oral hygiene!

Blizzident society, which includes dentists and engineers developed this new toothbrush that comes in the form of a denture and allow you to brush your teeth in 6 seconds. This is a record time and you know that you need to brush your teeth an average of 3 minutes each time. ''It cleans all the teeth and fully automatically - every time'' announces the brand.

Blizzident society
Using 3D printing, the company is able to provide you with a toothbrush molded from a scan of your teeth to fit perfectly to your teeth. Every hair of the brush touches and cleans the surface of your teeth at 45 degrees and even cleans your time upper and lower jaw. The pictures show and explain its simple operation. This technology is supposed to work for nearly one year; you have to spend € 222.

In total, the revolutionary brush will brush teeth and will save you up to 50 hours per year brushing up! Now the question is, you willing to spend about 220 € to save time. Some writers say they find that brushing teeth can sometimes be a chore and start to wonder if they will not invest in the toothbrush of a new kind. Imagine what we can do for 50 hours! Did you ever imagine that daily chore of 3 minutes is reduced to only 6 seconds using a simple device?

Projects " Mighty and Napoleon" Adobe announced

Mighty
With Mighty and Napoleon projects, Adobe wants to revolutionize the digital drawing with magic pen. The history of Digital has always been that the combination between virtual and real. As such, what could be more symbolic than inventions such as tablet or touch pen, who tried to imitate the use of a pen on a sheet of paper to free our imagination? However, as soon as we feel the need to scribble, we still prefer to use an ordinary pencil badly cut that the most powerful tablets!

This is why the creative software giant Adobe (known in particular for Photoshop) was floored for several months on the subject to invent the smart pen Mighty and Napoleon numerical rule , two innovations that could change the lives of creative. Mighty is a high-precision touch pen that stands out above all of its many competitors by its high accuracy. Indeed, sensors differentiate between the tip of the pen (writing) and fingers (which control additional functions: Delete, or go back etc.

Mighty and Napoleon
Moreover, Mighty leverages cloud computing and provides access to many tools, such as different types of lines and colors, as well as all of your own creations, regardless of the medium used. In short: scribble something on your Smartphone in the subway and the image will be available on any device connected to it with the push of a button! The other big news is Napoleon, a small strip which, when pressed on the tablet allows you to draw lines or perfect with a simple tap of the stylus curves.

As Mighty, Napoleon has a magical little button that provides access to its many options. The two objects, whose sophistication is matched only by the clean lines, communicate them to enrich the virtual design. You have to see it to believe it! Artists with the soul of a geek (or geek with an artist's soul, it depends) must wait until the first half of 2014 to test these two jewels of technology. Note that this is the first time that Adobe is trying to manufacture an electronic object. The next sign of artistic revolution thanks to digital technology!
