Which Is Best OS: Android Or IOS7

Android Vs IOS7
The direct fight between Google and Apple has reached a new era with Android OS and IOS7. It is difficult to answer such direct subjective question, for which we have to consider various features like speed, hardware user friendliness etc. Let us analyze here which is best in terms of their features. Let us discuss more here:

Sharing features:
Apple has made some updates to the operating system iOS7 sharing functions , as it now includes AirDrop feature that allows you to quickly share content from your iPhone to OS X built-in Wi-Fi Direct coupled with Bluetooth connection. This is a necessary feature one should have in their IPhone as this feature help you to share a file a lot easier, especially for families with a lot of Apple products.

Android 4.3 does not necessarily need a Wi-Fi connection to share the data, as these devices can connect directly via Bluetooth or NFC connection. Samsung also offers the same function as the AirDrop but it works only on its terminals.

Multitasking part:
Multitasking has long been a weak point of Apple iOS. The recent iOS7 terminates the different functions because multitasking was revised extensively, so it is now easy to switch from one application to another. The true multitasking is now present, since applications can actually run in the background in the new IOS7. This option increases its experience Android was also using the same system since version 4.0 in 2011. The interface is perhaps not as extensive as iOS7, but we can say that Android was ahead of iOS7 always. However, iOS7 remembers the applications you usually open from certain times a day and automatically launches the application in the background.

Notification:
It is no longer a secret Apple has greatly inspired to design the Android notification center iOS7. In fact, he simply classified notifications as "today" "all" and "failed". While the interface is better and clearer on iOS7, but the notification center of Android is more advanced and more dynamic and more interactive, with among others the ability to customize. Moreover, the quick settings are different on the two operating systems.

Camera:
Apple has always given great importance to the camera from its terminals by introducing new features with each update of iOS . The iOS7 therefore provides recording in slow motion.IOS7 built-in photo management is more powerful and has a easy to navigate than Android cameras. You can take good shots on an Android but actually IPhone always takes the best shots than Android.

Conclusion:
Everyone have agreed to that Android is s ahead of Apple's iOS7. However, Apple’s IOS7 has a major modification and features than its old versions and Android OS. As compared to IOS Android has a lot of free applications it provides an easy usage for a first time user.

Li-Fi A New Technology For High Speed Data Transmission With LED

Li -Fi
A group of researchers based in the UK has just made a significant breakthrough in their attempt to develop a system of “visual communication by light," a way to transmit data to the Internet using LEDs.

This technology has tried for several years; it is the Li -Fi, a technique that uses light sources like a Morse code to transmit binary code to a receiver. But now, researchers have been able to achieve a transfer rate of 10 gigabits record, ten times faster than the fastest fiber optic connections that are used by Google for data transmission.

These speeds were permitted by the use of micro LED flashing quickly to communicate in binary code. Researchers have associated red, green and blue LEDs to recreate a white light and increase the amount of information transferred without any hurdles simultaneously.

The solution could replace the wireless Internet connections communicating by radio, it has its advantages as well as drawbacks. First of all the connection depends on the amount of light that passes from the LED to a receiver, but still does not require a direct line of sight.

You can bounce the signal using mirrors, or even simple walls. Drawback, the connection cannot pass through walls or opaque materials. It seeks to be particularly attractive to create various secure or restricted areas. It's been almost 10 years various teams working on Li -Fi technology, earlier this month, a team of Chinese scientists have achieved a speed of 150 megabits only with bulbs.

NASA is also working on its own Li -Fi system based on the use of a high-powered laser capable of transmitting data at high speed over long distances and to other planets. As said Dr. Harald Haas, originally the work cited above, and the new speed record transfer, the interest of Li -Fi is that everyone is potentially already partially equipped , and the bulbs become multifunction today, they serve light point, wireless transmitter and means of communication, as an access point to Li -Fi, and, with a modest investment.

Mozilla Firefox Tips And Tricks

Firefox Tips And Tricks
Mozilla Firefox is one of the best open source browsers. To use Mozilla Firefox more efficiently here are some useful tips.

Other Tips and Tricks:

1. To Speed up Mozilla Firefox:

Type about:config in the address bar and hit Enter button, it will show you message “This might void your warranty!” Click on the button: I’ll be careful, I promise! then in the filter field type network.http , and change the following settings (Double-click on them to change them)

change network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining to true

Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to a number like 8.

Now, right-click and select New -> Integer.

Name itnglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to zero.

This is the time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

2. Handling Multiple Tabs with Keyboard:

Mozilla Firefox provides feature that you can handle multiple tabs by keyboard. Here are some tips to use multiple tabs by using keyboard.

Ctrl+Tab ->Rotate forward among tabs)

Ctrl+Shft+Tab -> Rotate to the previous tab)

Ctrl+1-9->Jump to a specific tab

3. Changing the behaviour of close button:

Sometimes by mistake you click on close button . Here is a trick to remove or close tab button. In the address bar Type about:config and press Enter button, then in filter field search for browser.tabs.closeButton. When you find it double-click on the given result. This inturn will show you a prompt with default value 1. Change the value to different values for different behaviours.

Enter 0 ->displays close button on the active tab only.
Enter 1 -> displays close button to all tabs.
Enter 2 ->avoids displaying any close buttons.
Enter 3 ->displays single close button at the end of the tab bar.

For example, if you want to open Google and Yahoo at the same time, then type – www.google.com | www.yahoo.com in Homepage box. Then Restart Firefox and you will see Firefox loading all 3 websites.

A Thermometer To Stick On The Skin

Skin thermometer -1

Skin thermometer -2

A small patch measures the temperature of a person with high accuracy and continuously. It is a soft square of 2 cm side that sticks to the skin. Consists of flexible sensors and electronic circuits, it measures the temperature of the carrier with an accuracy of 0.02 ° C. It was created by an international team of researchers, who presented in the journal Nature Materials.

Applied to an area of several square centimeters, it can measure different temperatures in different areas of the skin simultaneously, and observe how the heat is distributed in this area. Another advantage of this tool to fundamental aim: the measurements are continued until the person is wearing the patch, which can be observed temperature changes over time.

The system is dependent on an external power source. Researchers are studying ways to do without it, for example using photovoltaic microcells included in the patch.

A Super Capacitor Capable Of Supplying Energy On One Time Charge

Super Capacitor
Scientists at the university Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn., have developed a super capacitor made of silicon. Once heretical idea, today the idea to take the form of silicon chip capacitor is not so crazy.

This capacitor would provide energy for a range of several weeks on a single charge, or build solar cells able to load with or without sun. Published in the journal Scientific Reports, the first super capacitor stores its silicon charge accumulating on the surface of a porous material.

A difference from the traditional batteries that operate in chemical reactions, the super capacitor can be charged in a few minutes while her discharge may last much longer. Silicon had been regarded as unsuitable for super capacitors because of its property but can react with the electrolytes that allow the storage of ions.

“If you ask experts to make a super capacitor with silicon, you will get the answer that it is a crazy idea," says assistant professor Cary Pint, who leads the development team of Vanderbilt University. "But we can say is easy to do." Team Pint covered the silicon atoms, a very thin layer of a few nanometers of graphene, which stabilizes the silicon surface, perfect for storing the necessary load.

"Everything that defines us in modern world needs electricity," says Pint. “The more we can integrate the storage of electricity in existing materials and devices; they are more compact and efficient.”
